C.J. Henderson was the second cornerback off the board in the 2020 NFL Draft, going No. 9 overall to the Jacksonville Jaguars. One year later, with a new regime in town led by head coach Urban Meyer, Henderson might be available via trade.
A surprise: Multiple team execs believe #Jaguars corner C.J. Henderson — the ninth overall pick in 2020 — is available via trade. Jacksonville has given impression in some league circles that it's shopping Henderson, a high-pedigree player one year into rookie deal.

Henderson played fine in his rookie campaign and started all 8 games that he appeared in. The Jaguars appear to have really good depth at cornerback led by free agent acquisition Shaquill Griffin. Still, most had assumed that depth was real good with Henderson being a big part of it. Now, he may be on the trade block.
It will be super intriguing to follow along year one of the Urban Meyer era with the Jaguars. After stepping aside from his Ohio State gig a couple of years ago, many pondered if Meyer would take another head coaching job again or stay on as an analyst on television. He landed in Jacksonville and there’s legitimate optimism surrounding the franchise for the first time in a long time because of Meyer and No. 1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence.
The Jaguars believe they have tabbed their future franchise quarterback with the first pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and they also scooped up Lawrence’s teammate, Travis Etienne, to add to the running back room.
Maybe C.J. Henderson still factors into the plans for the Jaguars and continues to develop and emerge as a starting caliber cornerback in the league. Or, maybe the reports are true and Jacksonville is actively shopping the second-year cornerback out of Florida.
