The Jacksonville Jaguars are sneaky good this season. A real and legitimate playoff team. This is largely due to its defense and players like defensive lineman Calais Campbell.

How has this all worked out so well for the Jaguars? There are a variety of reasons, but the coupling of a good running game with a great defense really appears to be the biggest.

Anyway, Calais Campbell is happy about the team's current success, but he has to just live in the moment to help prepare for upcoming games.

Campbell, and the Jaguars obviously, are about to play the Arizona Cardinals. The lineman used to play for the Cards, which has inevitably led to folks asking him if this is a special game for him.

“I get that it’s a story line, but for me, you have to make it just another game,” Campbell said. “You have to make it just about getting a`W’. I have friends there, I spent a lot of time there, a lot of history. But you’ve got to live in the moment. Right now, we’re a real good team trying to take that next step and set ourselves up to win a division.”

Campbell has been a stud this season. He currently has 11.5 sacks while playing for one the league's best defenses, which is tied for best in the entire National Football League.

“I think Calais, he’s gone above and beyond at least what I thought he was going to be coming in here,’’ head coach Doug Marrone said. “More importantly, the production that we’ve had out of him, he’s playing a lot of plays for us and he’s been outstanding.’’

It is 2017 and the Jaguars are good. Who saw this coming?
