The Jacksonville Jaguars will be taking on the Houston Texans without one of their key members of the offense. According to Ian Rapoport, wide receiver Dede Westbrook is inactive versus the Texans on Sunday.

Westbrook exited last week's game against the New York Jets due to a neck injury. There was optimism that the Oklahoma product would be able to suit up in Week 9, but the team appears to be playing it cautious with their No. 2 wide receiver.

The third-year wide receiver's best game came against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 7. In that game, Westbrook caught six passes for 103 yards to help Jacksonville defeat the Bengals 27-17. Now, the Jaguars will have to find a way to replace his production.

This season, Westbrook has totaled 32 receptions for 383 yards and a touchdown. Nevertheless, they'll have to make do with D.J. Chark, Chris Conley, and Keelan Cole at wide receiver.

Among those options, Chark leads the AFC in receiving yards with 39 catches, 660 yards, and six touchdowns. Therefore, expect to see an increased role for Chark and the other wideouts in Week 9.

The game between the Texans and Jaguars has playoff implications with both teams very much in the race in the AFC South. The Texans are in second place with a 5-3 record; while the Jaguars sit at 4-4 in third place in the division.

Also, with no Westbrook, the Jaguars will undoubtedly look to continue getting Leonard Fournette involved in the passing game. Fournette is already one shy of his career-high in receptions in a season with 35 through eight weeks.
