Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew made light of his own thumb injury in humorous fashion on Friday.

Minshew posted a clip from The Office in which the famous Michael Scott, played by Steve Carrell, humorously explains it will take a “bullet to the brain”—and then some—to kill movie-in-TV show character Michael Scarn.

It was revealed Thursday Minshew suffered multiple fractures and a strained ligament in his right thumb.

In essence, Minshew has been playing through pain for some time now, and it is unknown when he will next be available.

The Jaguars have their bye this weekend before facing the Houston Texans in Week 9. Minshew might be able to go, otherwise it will likely be backup signal-caller Mike Glennon under center for Jacksonville.

Minshew explained he first began experiencing discomfort in his thumb during the team's first game with the Texans earlier this month. Unsurprisingly, he struggled in each of his next two games.

The 24-year-old completed under 57 of his passes and had two turnovers—one interception and a fumble—in a Week 6 loss to the Detroit Lions. Minshew was even less efficient in last weekend's loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, completing under 52 percent of his attempts for just 173 yards, though he did throw a pair of scores.

Jacksonville began the year on a high note with a stunning victory over the Indianapolis Colts, but things have gone downhill ever since. The Jags are 0-6 in their last six games, and could be up against it again if Minshew is not able to go against the Texans.
