The Jacksonville Jaguars have been one of the surprise teams this season in the thick of the playoff picture in the final month of the season.

The Jaguars earned arguably their biggest win of the season on Sunday afternoon topping the Seattle Seahawks 30-24, which helped secure the first winning campaign in a decade, according to Albert Breer of NFL Network.

It was a balanced effort against the Seahawks with Blake Bortles throwing a pair of touchdowns while rookie running back Leonard Fournette ran for more than 100 rushing yards with a touchdown. They also forced Russell Wilson to throw three interceptions in the huge win.

The Jaguars are also now sitting alone atop the AFC South with a 9-4 record after the Tennessee Titans fell to the Arizona Cardinals 12-7. The bulk of their success has become behind their dominant defense this season that prior to Sunday's contest ranked first both overall statistically and against the run.

Jacksonville will head into the final three games of the regular season with their playoff fate in their own hands facing the Houston Texans, San Francisco 49ers, and Titans. Although there could still be plenty of movement over the next few weeks, the Jaguars are a position to make some significant noise well beyond early January.
