The Jacksonville Jaguars are having a hell of a season… in all the worst ways possible. Urban Meyer, who was signed earlier as the head coach, was booted off after rumors of his mismanagement of the team spread out. Trevor Lawrence, their prized number one pick last draft, has struggled immensely. It's not been a good 2021 season for Duvall.

Texans fans will remember the dumpster fire that was Bill O'Brien's tenure with Houston, and wonder why do the Jaguars want any piece of that mess. As both the GM and the coach of the Texans, O'Brien was infamous for “ruining” the team. He made catastrophic decisions as a general manager, infamously trading away DeAndre Hopkins in his prime for an aging David Johnson.

Jaguars fans can maybe console themselves with the fact that Bill O'Brien's Texans teams made it to the playoffs all but two times in six years. Still, the fact that someone who has a terrible reputation like O'Brien is one of the Jags' choices is worrying. Despite the allure of coaching a phenomenal talent in Trevor Lawrence, no one seems to want to take this coaching job.

They at least have Super Bowl 51 winner Doug Pederson as another candidate for the Jaguars coaching job, so that's a silver lining. Still, fans are hoping that someone better than O'Brien emerges as a likely candidate to help salvage this ailing franchise.
