Tim Tebow is officially heading back to the NFL after signing a one-year deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday. However, there is no guaranteed money in this contract for Tebow, who reunites with his former college coach, Urban Meyer.

Per the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Tim Tebow will get $920,000, which is the minimum number he can receive for a player of his experience. Tebow will simply have to make the roster first, as a tight end.

The former Florida standout also has an injury split within the contract, which means if he lands on the Injury Reserve, his salary would be split in half. It’s definitely no sure thing that Tim Tebow will even make the cut either, despite his relationship with Meyer.

This guy hasn’t played football since 2015 and it was literally at a different position. He spent the last few years trying his luck at professional baseball. Tebow has only taken one snap in his life at receiver, but his big build could fit at tight end.

However, he will have competition at the position on the Jaguars. Luke Farrell, Tyler Davis, James O’Shaughnessy, Ben Ellefson, and Chris Manhert are all competing for a job as well.
