The trade deadline is fast approaching on Tuesday afternoon that has picked up the level of activity around the league with many big names being mentioned in rumors.

Among those is Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Dante Fowler Jr., who is reportedly drawing plenty of interest from several teams looking to add a bigger pass rush presence for the second half of the season, according to Tom Pelissero of The NFL Network.

Fowler Jr. is in his fourth year in the league that has seen him work through a few off-the-field issues that have drawn some question marks around him. However, he has shown on the field to be a talented pass rusher that has shown he can be a game-changing talent. Fowler Jr. has been off to a bit of a sluggish start to the year with just 2.0 sacks, eight total tackles, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery in seven games played.

The 24-year-old was coming off his most productive campaign where he registered a career-high 8.0 sacks, two forced fumbles and fumble recoveries along with 21 total tackles. It has been the type of production that he had hoped to have this season, but a change of scenery could help him get back on track to produce at a higher clip. There are several teams that could be in play for him that are looking to make serious runs toward the playoffs and possibly much further with the likes of the Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Rams potentially being in play as landing spots.

Fowler Jr. is currently in the final year of his four-year, $23.5 million rookie deal that already has the fifth-year option worth $14.2 million declined by the Jaguars. With the trade deadline passing later on Wednesday, he could have a new home in the NFL for the rest of this 2018 campaign.
