Following a medical scare involving an ulcer, Mike Tyson postponed his training for the upcoming bout. He'll turn 58 by the end of the month and it's clear his team doesn't want to take any chances with his physical condition heading into the fight. Following the postponement, Jake Paul took to social media to express his disappointment.

Tyson said in a statement: “Although we had to postpone the fight, I will resume training shortly. I am thankful to the medical staff that treated me and to MVP, Netflix, and AT&T Stadium for working diligently to find the best reschedule date for all parties. While we have a new date, the result will be the same no matter when we fight. Jake Paul is getting knocked out.”

Soon enough, however, the fight saw a new date and the Netflix-streamed super fight will take place on November 15, 2024 from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Undisputed Super Lightweight Champ Katie Taylor will defend her title against No. 1 contender and champion Amanda Serrano. Serrano has fought on most of Jake Paul's cards and is signed to Most Valuable Promotions.

The bout is scheduled to take place at Heavyweight and will feature eight two-minute rounds. Jake Paul (9-1, 6 KO) last fought Ryan Bourland and scored the knockout in the first round for his second consecutive bout. He's been fighting at the cruiserweight limit of 200 pounds, so this fight will be a step-up in weight for him.

Mike Tyson (56-6, 44 KO) last fought in an exhibition match against legend Roy Jones Jr. back in 2020. While the fight didn't count for much and was more-so for entertainment purposes, Mike Tyson showed that he can still shape-up for a fight and be competitive at his age. His last professional bout was in 2005 when he lost via TKO to Kevin McBride.

With the fight seeing a new date and the Co-Main Event being rescheduled as well, fight fans will have to wait through the summer to see these two personalities face off. The younger generation is familiar with Jake Paul and his massive influence on social media, while the older generation still remembers the terror Mike Tyson was on a nightly basis. The event is sure to be a spectacle and whether you're a fight fan or not, you'll have to tune-in for this one.
