Longtime NBA shooting guard Jamal Crawford has played for a slew of teams over the course of his professional tenure. However, now 39 years old, Crawford remains without a team as the seasoned sharpshooter continues to eye a NBA comeback this season.

Despite the fact that Crawford has not played in a regulation NBA game since back in 2018-19, there are surely more than a few teams that could use his services down the final stretch of the 2019-20 regular season. Definitely still possessing his ability to hit shots from anywhere on the court, Crawford could go full throttle even at his age considering the fact that he would only have to play for about one quarter of a season at this point in the year.

With that in mind, there are three NBA franchises in particular that could use Crawford and his shooting prowess before it is too late.

Portland Trail Blazers

As it stands today, the supremely talented Portland Trail Blazers sit at a disappointing 28-37 on the season. Nine games under the .500 mark with less than 20 games remaining on the team's schedule, the Trail Blazers can use all the help they can get as the once dominant Western Conference franchise attempts to attain the eighth and final seed in the conference standings. Right now, the Trail Blazers sit 4.5 games behind the eighth place Memphis Grizzlies, who are currently slated to take on the top seeded Los Angeles Lakers in the opening round of the postseason.

The addition of Jamal Crawford could go a long way for the Trail Blazers, a team trying to finish strong. Because of his ability to play limited minutes but still make a major offensive impact, the Trail Blazers could put the former NBA Sixth Man of the Year to good use in order to make a run at that No. 8 seed.

Washington Wizards

Even without the services of starting point guard John Wall, who just can't seem to shake some lingering injury trouble, the Washington Wizards have remained competitive throughout the 2019-20 campaign. Now just 5.5 games out of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, the 23-40 Wizards could possibly catch the Orlando Magic if Washington ultimately has one more major run in them.

If the Wizards and superstar shooting guard Bradley Beal, who has been carrying the majority of the workload on offense this year, are going to do the impossible, Washington must add another high level scorer like Jamal Crawford to the mix.

Brooklyn Nets

As it stands today, the Brooklyn Nets would enter the playoffs as the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference. While such a feat would honestly be impressive considering Brooklyn has parted ways with its head coach, has been without superstar forward Kevin Durant all season long and remains without starting point guard Kyrie Irving at the moment, the Nets are truly no match for the second seeded and defending NBA Champion Toronto Raptors.

If the Nets want to have any chance of advancing past the first round of the postseason, perhaps it is time to start thinking about adding some depth that could come up big later on. Jamal Crawford would certainly be once place to start.
