Over the weekend, Los Angeles Clippers shooting guard Jamal Crawford was honored by the Lenny Wilkens Foundation with their “Sports Philanthropy Award.”

He was recognized for the efforts he has given each year in the enrichment, education and health of our youth, which is aligned with the mission of the foundation.

The foundation was founded by one of the NBA's greats and former head coach Lenny Wilkens. It is based in Medina, WA, which is also Crawford's home state. Together with his family and friends, the 78-year-old, and former 6th pick in the 1960 draft, have raised more than $7.5 million in the past decade to help hundreds of families in the Pacific Northwest.

Crawford also has his own foundation (Jamal Crawford Foundation) and targets to assist inner-city children with youth and community development, improvement, educational, and related activities in his hometown of Seattle,

Everyone knows that he has tremendous ability in creating plays, whether making a shot on his own or delivering an assist to his teammates, but now even off the court, he also can make other people's lives better and the award only goes to show what kind of person he truly is.
