Denver Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried took the advice of many basketball coaches imploring big men to run the floor in transition, as he found himself on the receiving end of a Jameer Nelson alley-oop on a fast break.

Faried sprinted down the left lane uncontested as Nelson took one step past half court and fired a lob — the Manimal took off with both feet and threw it down for the finish.

This alley-oop is more than just a great pass, but Faried's willingness to sprint and find the opening to get the play started.

The Nuggets ultimately fell short, taking a 109-108 loss to the Atlanta Hawks.
