A new era of basketball in Philadelphia was introduced Tuesday afternoon as James Harden held his introductory press conference since being traded last Thursday. The former MVP took the podium with Paul Millsap, Doc Rivers, Daryl Morey, and Sixers' owner Josh Harris.

An array of topics were covered, including his new All-Star teammate in Joel Embiid. This is the first time in his career Harden has played with a big man the caliber of Embiid. When asked about getting acclimated on the court with his new running mate, Harden is confident they will be able to figure it out.

“We're both at a high level to where we will figure it out. Joel [Embiid] does everything,” said James Harden. “They have something great going on, I'm just here to contribute, and I know I can do that very well. On the court, when you got high-level skilled guys that know the game and all they want to do is win, we'll figure it out,” said Harden.

Very rarely does a pair of superstars take long to mesh on the floor, so Harden is right to be positive about his new situation. In the NBA, talent always figures it out. Especially in an instance like this, where the two are near-perfect complements of each other.

Throughout his career, Embiid has always done whatever is needed on the floor for the sake of winning. Team success remains one of his top priorities in his pursuit of greatness. Between their cohesive styles of play and the strong desire to lead the Sixers deep in the postseason, James Harden and Joel Embiid should put things together rather quickly.
