Former NBA star Dwayne Wade, now a part-owner of the Utah Jazz, shared a special moment with his son Zaire Wade. Zaire was selected in the G-League Draft by the Jazz affiliation.

Dwayne and Zaire Wade are shown screaming and jumping in excitement after Zaire was informed he was drafted by the Utah Jazz G-League team, Salt Lake City Stars. Zaire was drafted in the first round with the 10th pick. The 19-year-old spent some of his high school years at Sierra Canyon. After a decision to leave Sierra Canyon, Wade decided to reclass and transferred to the prep powerhouse, Brewster Academy in New Hampshire.

Wade is one of the many prospects who are now forgoing college to join the G League. Rookie Jalen Green took the same route that Zaire is taking and it proved to be the right decision.

The 6'3″, 170-pound guard was rated as a 3-star prospect and the No.289 overall player in the class. Wade had college offers from Rhode Island, South Carolina, Toledo, and Depaul according to 247Sport.

He has received comparisons to his all-time great father. He is a guard with elite basketball IQ, a good playmaker, and attacks the rim at an elite level.
