Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell was among those tuned in during the NFL titles games on Sunday. In particular, his eyes were locked on to the NFL Conference Championship game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills. Mitchell was so impressed by the performance of Patrick Mahomes that he had to share it on Twitter.

Mitchell backed Mahomes after witnessing the quarterback's dominant performance on Sunday.

It's unclear what Mitchell is actually referring to by ā€œyou got it.ā€ Is he claiming that Mahomes definitely has the elite gene in him, which is somehow a naĆÆve observation since Mahomes has been wreaking havoc since 2018?

ā€¦ Or is Mitchell referring to the other day when Shaquille O'Neal told him that he doesn't have what it takes to take the Jazz to the next level?

ā€œI said tonight that you are one of my favorite players, but you donā€™t have what it takes to get to the next level,ā€ Shaquille Oā€™Neal said of the Jazz star. ā€œI said it on purpose because I wanted you to hear it. What do you have to say about that?ā€

Whatever Donovan Mitchell meant, it's safe to say that heā€”like most sports fansā€”was hyped up by Patrick Mahomes' showing. In just his fourth year in the NFL, Mahomes has already gained the respect of NFL legends and sports fanatics alike.

Let's wait for what the Jazz All-Star has to say come the Super Bowl when Mahomes faces Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
