Utah Jazz teammates Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell had a playful exchange after Tuesday night's 117-96 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.

Gobert, now in his sixth year of NBA service, had a monster game against the Trail Blazers, especially on the defensive end of the floor. In 33 minutes of playing time, The Stifle Tower racked up 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field, 14 rebounds, a season-high seven blocks and one steal.

For the record: Gobert had seven swats through three quarter of play.

“Our mindset has changed over the last few games,” Gobert told ESPN. “We want to play defense and we're having fun playing defense. It changes the way we play.”

Following the game, Gobert made his way to the locker room to answer a few questions from the media. During interviews, a reporter asked the 7-1 Frenchman if (and when) he knew how many blocks he had. That's when Mitchell, who was seated nearby, decided to have a little bit of fun with his teammate.

“When did you know you had seven blocks midway through the third quarter?” a reporter asked Gobert.

“When I came out,” Gobert calmly replied. “When I came to the bench.”

Another reporter started to ask a question, but Mitchell spoke out, saying: “Man, you know you had seven!” With a quick glance, Gobert gave a cheeky reply.

“I thought I had eight,” Gobert said, smiling with a raised eyebrow.

The Jazz (17-18 and 4th in the Northwest Division standings) will be back in action on Thursday night, as they're scheduled to host the Philadelphia 76ers.
