Donovan Mitchell didnā€™t have a stellar Game 2 to the series against the Houston Rockets, but his highlight-reel put-back dunk over three defenders shone the spotlight bright over him, quickly elevating over his opposition.

The rookie shooting guard hilariously immortalized this moment with a photo of him hanging on the rim, alluding to an episode of ā€œChappelleā€™s Showā€ where the late Prince would school some of his invited guests in a game of basketball.

In that episode, known as a part of Charlie Murphyā€™s True Hollywood Stories, Prince hangs from the rim with two hands without naturally descending, then with one hand, and later with no hands left on the rim ā€” hovering in the air before realizing he needs to come down for dramatic effect.

Nicknamed ā€œThe Spydaā€ ā€” Mitchell used every bit of his spider-like 7-foot wingspan to cram that one down, using a quick second-jump to follow up his missed floater attempt and rock the rim over P.J. Tucker, Trevor Ariza, and Clint Capela ā€” all four inches or taller than the 6-foot-3 shooting guard.

Surely from that point, it was gameā€¦ blouses.
