Danny Ainge is joining the Utah Jazz front office just a few months after “retiring” from his role with the Boston Celtics. While it's shocking for some, NBA legend Dwyane Wade couldn't be more hyped up about it.

Wade, who is a minority owner of the Jazz, took to Twitter to welcome Ainge and express his reaction to the news. With Ainge's experience in building playoff teams and title contenders, Wade is clearly excited with what they can accomplish together.

Danny Ainge joined the Utah franchise as its alternate governor and CEO Jazz of basketball–a truly fancy title, to say the least. The former Celtics boss will be in charge of the team's basketball operations; however, general manager Justin Zanik will keep his position in the front office.

In his statement after joining the Jazz, Ainge talked about the “unique opportunity” that the Jazz presented him with. After all, Utah is no longer a rebuilding squad but a playoff team looking to overcome that hump to become legitimate title contender.

“Rarely do you get an opportunity to come into a franchise that is this close to being a special team. It’s a very unique opportunity,” Ainge said.

Since leaving the Celtics, Danny Ainge has been living in Salt Lake City with his family. He needed the time off to be with the people close to him, but as it looks like, he is ready to get to work again.

“I have known and respected Ryan and Ashley Smith for many years. What they are doing here in Utah is amazing and I am excited to be a part of their vision for the Jazz and Smith Entertainment Group as a whole,” Ainge added in his statement.

“Joining the Jazz was a natural and perfect fit for me, as my roots in Utah are deep and strong. This is a team that has a tremendous foundation of players and people, and Justin and Quin are doing an amazing job. I am excited to collaborate with them, be a resource, and share the perspective | have as we work together to bring our fans the success that they deserve.”

Certainly, it is not only Dwyane Wade who is excited about Ainge's arrival in Utah. With his genius, Jazz fans have high hopes they can build a strong team today and for the future.
