Jordan Clarkson is having a career year with the Utah Jazz this season and one of his former teammates is giving him props for his efforts thus far. While sharing how much he means to Filipino fans around the world, Jeremy Lin uttered that Clarkson deserves to win the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year award.

After seeing Lin's tweet, Clarkson would express his gratitude toward Lin for praising him.

Clarkson's mother is from the Philippines, meaning that Clarkson is a proud Asian-American just like Lin himself. The talented scoring guard spent the first three and a half seasons of his career with the Los Angeles Lakers. Lin was on the Lakers in Clarkson's rookie season in 2014-2015 when Kobe Bryant was in his second-to-last season in the NBA.

As for Clarkson, he would be traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2017-2018 in a trade that also sent Larry Nance Jr. to Cleveland. But during the 2019-2020 season, Clarkson has seemingly found a place to call home with the Utah Jazz after being traded again from the Cavaliers.

In his seventh season in the NBA, Clarkson is operating as Utah's go-t0 scorer off of the bench. The Florida native has responded by notching a career-high 17.3 points per game to go along with four rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.

Lin has spoken out about racial and national issues recently following a run-in with a player in the G-League. Even though Lin isn't teammates with Clarkson anymore, the veteran guard is making sure Jordan Clarkson gets his deserved praise for what he's doing for the team with the best record in the league.
