The Utah Jazz has been very busy this offseason, first trading for Mike Conley and then signing Bojan Bogdanovic and Ed Davis via free agency. Jazz big man Rudy Gobert is thrilled about his team's activity.

“I'm excited to have them on board,” Gobert said of the additions, according to Alex Kennedy of HoopsHype. “Let's get this ring.”

Utah was certainly in need of more pieces, as the past two postseasons showed that the Jazz were in desperate need of offense. While the Jazz did manage to dispatch the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round of the playoffs last year, they lost to the Houston Rockets in five games in the second round, and this season, Utah met Houston in the opening round and was soundly beaten in five games.

Outside of Donovan Mitchell, the Jazz did not have any truly notable offensive threats, but now, with Conley and Bogdanovic in tow, Utah has three guys who can create their own shot, and with Davis, the Jazz are getting a very serviceable big man who can fill the void left by Derrick Favors, whom Utah has agreed to trade to the New Orleans Pelicans.

Meanwhile, Gobert has now won back-to-back Defensive Player of the Year awards and is coming off of a 2018-19 campaign in which he played 81 games and averaged 15.9 points, 12.9 rebounds, two assists and 2.3 blocks over 31.8 minutes per game while shooting 66.9 percent from the floor and 63.6 percent from the free-throw line.

The Jazz may now finally be legitimate threats in the Western Conference.
