After the Utah Jazz were bounced from the NBA Playoffs in the first round by the Dallas Mavericks, questions have arisen regarding the future of the team. A rumor surfaced Monday indicating that Rudy Gobert had gone to the Jazz demanding the organization trade him or Donovan Mitchell this offseason. Gobert has apparently caught wind of these rumors and took to Twitter to clear the air, adamantly shooting down any authenticity behind the rumblings.

The rumor came from Sirius XM Radio host Sean O'Connell, who claimed that sources close to the situation told him about Gobert's wild demands from the organization. O'Connell indicated his sources said that Gobert does not feel Utah will win a championship if it continues forth with him and Mitchell as the team's centerpieces.
Rudy feels that his own numbers are consistent or getting better, while Don is D liability and is falling off in terms of explosiveness. Gobert also aware of at least 1 Western Conference power that would be willing to pay handsomely for his abilities. (NBA teams never tamper..)

Speaking on KSL Sports Radio, via Kurt Helin of NBC Sports, O'Connell said:
“My understanding is that conversation has yet to happen.”
“Maybe he and his agent are formulating a better strategy than a simple ultimatum, and that’s why we haven’t had anything. This is from a very trusted, hashtag, source for me, and it could be less than 100 percent complete information from what Rudy and his camp are actually planning on doing. Obviously, I’ll fully allow for that.”
This isn't the first rumor of friction between Gobert and Mitchell, however. It was reported in late April that Gobert and Mitchell were at odds over some comments the Frenchman made regarding Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker. Trade rumors have run rampant involving both Mitchell and Gobert since the moment the Jazz were knocked out of the playoffs, and they surely don't seem to be slowing down.
It seems Gobert is trying to address all of the rumors regarding his future with the Jazz in his latest tweet, pouring cold water on any reports of friction between him and Mitchell. Gobert is denying having put forth any such demand to the Jazz, indicating that the latest talk about him and his star teammate is nothing more than fiction.
