Back in 2011, Golden State Warriors superstar small forward Kevin Durant scored an epic 66 points at Harlem's Rucker Park in an Entertainers Basketball Classic game. Friday night, Durant and the Warriors were taking on the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden, and Durant easily scored 41 points, prompting Utah Jazz rising star Donovan Mitchell to have flashbacks.

Mitchell was amazed at how Durant was dominating the game. It reminded the Jazz guard of the performance Durant put on in 2011 at Rucker Park:

Kevin Durant finished Friday night with 41 points against the Knicks while shooting 17-of-24 from the field, 5-of-9 from the 3-point line, and 2-of-2 from the free-throw line. He is the best scorer in the NBA right now, and may go down as the greatest scorer in NBA history when it's all said and done.

Donovan Mitchell is a pretty good scorer himself, but he's not at the level of Durant. KD's height and handles separate him from the rest of the pack. Knowing the type of competitor Mitchell is, though, it wouldn't be a surprise if he tries to top Durant's 41 points when the Jazz take on the Knicks at MSG.

Whenever a star player comes to The Mecca of Basketball, that player usual elevates their game because they want to put on a show at the Garden.
