As the saying goes, “when it rains, it pours.”

That could be what the Utah Jazz felt on Tuesday night, as everything seemed to go their way on the court against the Detroit Pistons. One play during the third quarter even summed up how the basketball gods smiled at them all night long, as Donovan Mitchell knocked down a 3-pointer to beat the shot clock buzzer.

However, it wasn't just any ordinary shot from beyond the arc, as he was already near the center logo when he took it. Understanding the amount of time left for him to put up an attempt, the Louisville product did not hesitate to shoot it as soon as he received the ball from Rudy Gobert. It hit nothing but net, drawing a loud applause from the crowd inside Vivint Smart Home Arena.

The Jazz won the game in convincing fashion, 110-79. In what was their second-biggest margin of victory this season, they used a well-balanced scoring attack to defeat their opponents, as six of their players finished in double digits in scoring, led by Gobert who had a huge double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds, to go along with two blocked shots. Joe Ingles chipped in with 17 points and seven rebounds, while Mitchell had 13 points, nine rebounds, and three assists of his own.

It was the home team's sixth straight victory and has allowed them to improve their record to 37-30 for the season which is tied for eighth place in the Western Conference. With only a few games left on all teams' schedules, the race for the playoffs will surely be exciting, and the Jazz will do their best to see postseason action.
