Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert doesn't seem to show mercy to many on the NBA floor, and as it turns out, he doesn't like to show mercy to kids either.

Gobert appeared to be working a basketball camp when a camper drove down the lane on Gobert. He didn't show any mercy on him swatting the ball away hard, and the rest of the campers went wild.

Even though all the kids were celebrating, it looks like it actually could have been a really dangerous play, as he almost took out a few of them with the force of the block.

Can you really blame Gobert though? He was just trying to show all the kids what got him named to the first team NBA All-Defensive team, for the second year in a row. Gobert received the most votes for the award coming in with 192 points out of a possible 200. Anthony Davis came in with the second most votes at 163 points.

Gobert is also one of the three finalists for defensive player of the year alongside Davis, and Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid.

According to the Utah Jazz's team website, after Gobert returned in late January from injury, the team was very effective defensively:

The Jazz posted the second best record in the NBA (30-8), the best defensive rating in the NBA (97.5), the best net rating (10.8), the lowest opponent scoring average (97.4) and were tied for the lowest opponent field goal percentage during that stretch (.431). The 7-1 center averaged the most contested shots (15.0) on the year and had the second-most blocked shots in the NBA after the All-Star break (55).
