Even since Kevin Durant made the free agency decision to join the Golden State Warriors, there has been much speculation about what exactly the team can achieve with the superstar on its roster.

The Warriors managed to break the Chicago Bulls’ regular season record of overall wins, winning 73 games and losing only 9, during the 2015-2016 season. The expectations are high once again within the NBA community.

Although the Warriors themselves have stated that they have no real intention of chasing the win record again, Brooklyn Nets point guard Jeremy Lin reportedly believes that they will repeat last year’s achievement.

If anyone knows about playing a season surrounded by complete pandemonium, it's Lin. Despite that, he clearly feels as though Durant and his team can block out the noise, in order to match or break their record.

Some fans feel as though the incredible season that the Warriors had actually impeded their performance in the post-season. The Bay Area organization found themselves shell-shocked in the NBA Finals, when the Cleveland Cavaliers came back from a 3-1 lead to beat them to the championship. Fatigue may have played a part, it may also be the case that they had forgotten how to deal with true adversity after an unbelievable year of almost constant victory.

The team’s ultimate goal will be to win the NBA title. So while they may be capable of pushing for the win record, it’s doubtful that they will even try.
