It has been deemed a foregone conclusion that player protests will occur throughout the league during the 2020 NFL season. The New York Jets are among the teams still creating an open dialogue on their plans to address the issues of racial injustice.

According to Brian Costello of the New York Post, head coach Adam Gase says the Jets will talk to the players about any plans to protest:

Gase said there will be discussions with the team heading into the season about any social justice protests. Says the organization supports the players.

Linebacker C.J. Mosley has been one of the more outspoken players on the roster when it comes to discussing the issues of systemic racism with the organization. His status as a leadership figure in the locker room should help provide the coaching staff and front office with some insight on how to determine a solution as a team.

It is no secret that Gase has caught plenty of flak for his souring relationship with the Jets' stars players such as safety Jamal Adams and running back Le’Veon Bell. Regardless, it seems he is making efforts to ensure that the organization will have the team's back no matter what they decide to do as far as protests go.

Mosley has addressed the importance of consulting with fellow players on a course of action before bringing the coaching staff and front office in on their plans. Their potential decision to go through on a team-wide protest could very well present of a conflict of interest for Jets owner Woody Johnson given his status as an ambassador to the United Kingdom for President Donald Trump.
