The New York Jets were reported to be listening to offers for Le'Veon Bell and Jamal Adams, but they decided to retain both of them. When the NFL trade deadline passing, Bell spoke out about not being traded by New York.

On Tuesday morning, it was reported by Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News that the Jets were open to moving Bell ahead of the trade deadline. The Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans were the two teams who expressed interest in the dual-threat back.

This didn't come as a surprise with there being a rift on the team with Adam Gase being against signing Bell in the offseason. Of course, New York signed Bell to a four-year, $52.5 million deal in March.

Nevertheless, Joe Douglas decided to keep Bell beyond Tuesday's deadline. By watching this video, you can tell that Bell is remaining positive about his current situation.

When Bell was with the Pittsburgh Steelers, many questioned his leadership and character in the locker room. But ever since he's arrived in New York, he seems to be a remarkable leader for the youthful Jets team.

As Bell alludes to, things may appear to be bleak for the Jets with them being 1-6. At the same time, fans have to realize that it's going to take time for the Jets to develop into the team they want to become.

For now, that involves having Bell as one of the focal points of the offense alongside Sam Darnold. The versatile running back has struggled behind a less-than-ideal offensive line; with 536 yards from scrimmage on 141 touches and two total touchdowns.
