After a very impressive second year in the NFL, it looks as New York Jets defensive lineman Quinnen Williams will be done for the season after suffering a neck injury. New York have ruled him out for the remaining two games of the season, per Adam Schefter:

Williams, who was the third overall pick by the Jets in the 2019 draft out of Alabama, broke out this season as one of the best defensive lineman in the NFL. In 13 contests, Williams collected 53 tackles, two forced fumbles, and seven sacks.

The Jets standout suffered the neck injury in their win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. It was the first victory of the season for Adam Gase's squad after previously going 0-13.

With that victory, the Jets could have surrendered the first overall pick in the 2020 draft, which is most definitely going to be Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence. However, it's still a possibility that New York can snag the star quarterback, depending on the conclusion of this season and how the Jacksonville Jaguars also close out the 2020/21 campaign.

However, the Jets undoubtely have a key piece of their defensive line already intact with Quinnen Williams. Hopefully, the 23-year old can pick up where he left off next season.
