The New York Jets have had a very strong offseason, adding players like running back Le'Veon Bell, wide receiver Jamison Crowder and linebacker C.J. Mosley to their roster.

Not only that, but many feel that the Jets knocked their first-round draft pick out of the park by taking University of Alabama defensive lineman Quinnen Williams.

But, that does not erase just how inept the franchise has been for the better part of the last decade, and, as a result, some changes might occur within the team's front office.

According to Michael Lombardi of The Athletic, Jets general manager Mike Maccagnan may be on the hot seat and may end up losing his job by the end of the NFL Draft.

This seems like really odd timing. You would think that if New York was going to make a change at general manager, it would have done so earlier in the offseason before free agency and the draft.

Plus, the general consensus is that Maccagnan had done a very good job this winter and spring.

The Jets hired Maccagnan as their general manager back in January 2015 along with head coach Todd Bowles, whom the club fired following the 2018 campaign as a result of four straight years without a playoff appearance.

However, New York's lack of success dates back much further than that, as Gang Green has not made a trip to the postseason since the 2010-11 campaign when the Jets made it all the way to the AFC Championship Game.

We'll see what happens, but New York's front office may look quite a bit different as soon as next week.
