Joel Embiid has always been quick to let fans know what's on his mind. Apparently, after being named cover athlete for NBA Live 19, the Philadelphia 76ers star has his sights set on a more prominent goal. Embiid told TMZ Sports that he wants to win the MVP next season.

Embiid has his sights set on the MVP trophy. Embiid is known for his brash personality and supreme confidence, but these are more than a few empty words. The 24-year-old is already one of the best players in the NBA after appearing in his first All-Star Game and being named to the 2017-18 All-NBA Second Team.

Embiid finished 12th in MVP voting for the 2017-2018, only receiving four fifth-place votes, but he's still incredibly young. He's a dominant force in the paint on both ends of the floor and he seems to get better with every game he plays. Maybe, next season is a year or two before he seriously contends for an MVP, but no one will be surprised when Embiid eventually gets on the level of a perennial MVP candidate.

Embiid's MVP celebration may be the thing fans can look forward to most about Embiid possibly taking the award in the future. The social media maven will have no shortage of posts for his haters and surely he won't let anyone forget who the real MVP is.

NBA fans can only hope that Embiid's vision becomes a reality in the near future because it's sure to make for some great basketball, but maybe more importantly, some excitement off the court.
