Kate Bock is engaged to a Team USA gold medal winner, but she actually hails from Canada. The sultry swimsuit model was born in Vancouver, British Columbia on January 30, 1988. She posts often about her time spent in her home country, where she spent her years growing up before moving to the United States.
Kevin Love's girlfriend has found just as much success as the NBA star in her own field. According to the Huffington Post, Kate Bock was reportedly discovered when she was just 12 years old at a local swimming pool. That serendipitous moment catapulted her into modeling success at such an early age. She went from a preteen swimming poolside to flying all the way to Paris for modeling gigs.

“I grew up in West Vancouver, Canada, and I was always super tall, gangly, and thin. I was a 12-year-old swimmer, and my agent is actually from the same area. She spotted me, and it was literally the next week that I started working with Abercrombie Kids and at mall fashion shows. When I finished high school, I moved to Paris. Modeling was kind of like “I’ll try it; it sounds so cool,” and then here I am, still doing it.”
Bock has best known for her work as a model for Sports Illustrated. She has been featured on the swimsuit issue of the magazine every year since her first appearance back in 2013. Kevin Love even surprised his girlfriend with the news that she finally made the cover for the 2020 issue.

“He knew for a whole week,” said Bock. “They really got me. I had no clue.” As soon as she learned the truth, her agent and team were at the door waiting, in masks, and throwing confetti.
She stands at 5'10” today, which clearly made her stand out even when she was just a child. Kate Bock spoke out on what it was like growing up as tall girl at a young age. Kevin Love's girlfriend was also very much into sports. It makes perfect sense given that her towering size definitely gave her an edge over everyone else.
“I was so much taller than everyone in my class. There was maybe one boy my height, so I definitely wasn’t in the slow-dance world at that age. I had braces, I had it all — I never thought of myself as beautiful. I was really into sports. I played baseball and soccer and I was a swimmer and I played field hockey.”
But next to Kevin Love, who stands at 6'10”, she's definitely not the tall one in the relationship. Kevin Love met his girlfriend turned fiancee back in 2016 when they were introduced after having a shoot with the same photographer in New York. Their first date was for a simple cup of coffee at the St. Regis hotel and brewed into something much more. The adorable tandem immediately hit it off. In an interview with Graham Bensinger, Bock spoke out after being asked if it was “love at first sight”.
“I kind of think so. I don't know. I feel like I don't want to say that because I don't think you can really love someone until you know them. But I feel like we were pretty into it.”
Their love affair also meant that Kate Bock also developed an affinity for basketball. Kevin Love's girlfriend was suddenly knee deep in consuming a sport she was unfamiliar with. She now watches NBA games that don't even feature Love in them.
“Before I met Kevin, I had never watched basketball. When we first started dating, I was gifted ‘Basketball for Dummies.’”
