The Sacramento Kings are off to a surprising 6-4 start this season, and they just received good news about Bogdan Bogdanovic. The second-year player from Serbia will make his season debut Wednesday against the Toronto Raptors, according to the Kings. He has been recovering from knee surgery.

The 25-year-old is coming off a strong rookie season and looking to add to the Kings' current success. Bogdanovic was so successful in his rookie season he was named to the NBA's All-Rookie second team amidst a crowded field of talented rookies. His 11.8 points per game on efficient shooting numbers should give the organization hope he can become a consistent contributor for Sacramento.

Furthermore, the Kings don't need Bogdan Bogdanovic to be the savior. As previously stated, they're playing pretty well right now and keeping their head above water in the stacked Western Conference. Buddy Hield and De'Aaron Fox are emerging as legitimate players, and everything seems to be clicking for Dave Joerger's squad. Bringing an efficient scorer and deep threat like Bogdanovic back into the field can only mean good things going forward.

It will be hard for the Kings to keep up their current pace, but we already know they have no desire to tank. They traded away their first-round pick in exchange for cap relief in 2015, so there is no incentive to lose games this season. Look for the Kings to continue to try winning games, but even with Bogdanovic's return, the chances they can hang around in the West seem unlikely.
