After playing seven games so far this season, rookie point guard De’Aaron Fox has been able to turn a lot of heads because of his solid play for the Sacramento Kings. Fox is proving he might just be the real deal, and that he belongs to be in the same conversation as some of the other top rookies this year, including Ben Simmons, Lonzo Ball, and Dennis Smith Jr., just to name a few.

Outside of his ability to man the point guard position well through his playmaking and ability to score on different ways, the manner in which the 19-year-old Kentucky product gets the defense focused on him has also been noticeable, which has made the Kings rookie receive some credit for it.

Boston Celtics head coach Brad Stevens even gave De'Aaron Fox a huge compliment, by comparing him to the Memphis Grizzlies' Mike Conley, who is one of the better point guards in the league today, for how he similarly gives his defenders a hard time stopping him.

Through seven games so far, De'Aaron Fox has been playing solid basketball, with averages of 13.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game. He’s starting to get the hang of being an NBA player, and has been learning a lot from his coaches and veteran teammates as well, which will all help him set up his future for success.
