After Sacramento Kings big man Marvin Bagley III put on another strong performance, Buddy Hield had a message for the young gun's critics.

Bagley logged in a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds in the Kings' win over the Orlando Magic on Wednesday. This marked his second straight double-double which is also the Kings' second consecutive win.

Bagley, the second overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, has endured lots of ups and downs in his young career with the Kings. In Hield's eyes, this is the nature of one's journey in the NBA.

“Y’all need to get off of Marvin’s back, leave that man alone, he’s 21 years old,” Hield said about his Kings teammate, per James Ham of NBC Sports.

“He’s just trying to prove himself to the world that he belongs in this league and it’s going to take time,” Hield added. “He has to get himself situated first and once he gets situated and once he gets more games under his belt, he gets more comfortable, then it’s night and day for him.”

Meanwhile, Bagley welcomed Hield's remarks. He doesn't really pay attention to the criticisms but the 21-year-old Kings frontcourt force surely appreciates his teammates looking out after him.

“That’s big to know that and to have teammates that just trust you, that’s a big thing for me,” Bagley said. “I never really listen to what other people are saying on the outside. It doesn’t really matter at the end of the day because they’re not in this position to wake up every morning and go to (Kings) practice and do the job and be in the shoes that I’m in.”

The Kings are considered a serious up and coming team in the West as they have a great young core in Bagley, De'Aaron Fox, Richaun Holmes. They have a chance to extend their winning streak to three games when they face the Toronto Raptors on Friday.
