Sacramento Kings shooting guard Buddy Hield has soured on head coach Luke Walton, per Jason Jones of The Athletic.

Hield is not happy coming off the Kings' bench and he hasn't answered any of Walton's phone calls.

But for Hield, things have changed. According to league sources, Hield has soured on Walton to the point he will not answer his coach’s phone calls. Messages to Hield’s agent, Brandon Rosenthal, and Walton were not returned.

Buddy Hield had beef with ex-Kings coach Dave Joerger. Now, the sharpshooter isn't getting along with Walton.

Last month, Hield liked a picture on IG linking him to the Philadelphia 76ers, who hired Doc Rivers as their new head coach on Thursday. Since the Sixers need more shooters around All-Stars Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons and Hield appears to be upset in Sacramento, it's possible we could see a trade go down this offseason between the Sixers and Kings.

Before the 2019-20 season started, Hield signed a four-year, $94 million extension with the Kings. He averaged 19.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game in 2019-20 while shooting 42.9 percent from the field and 39.4 percent from beyond the arc.

However, Hield came off the bench and the Kings missed the playoffs in the Western Conference.

This is clearly a situation to key an eye on for Kings fans. The Sacramento franchise has been a walking disaster since 2006, which was the last time the Kings made the playoffs. Vlade Divac stepped down from his GM post after the season ended and Marvin Bagley III won't ever be able to escape the shadow of Luka Doncic since the Kings passed on Luka for Bagley III.
