The NBA and the NBPA are nearing an agreement to conduct an All-Star game this season despite the COVID-19 pandemic. Even though De'Aaron Fox has gotten some respect as a possible All-Star for the Sacramento Kings this season, the young point guard questioned the league having an All-Star game this year, via The Athletic's Jason Jones.

Due to the concerns that stem from the COVID-19, there were doubts that the NBA would be able to have an All-Star weekend in the 2020-2021 season. However, the league has conjured up an idea to hold the All-Star festivities in a city that could allow the NBA to conduct the weekend in a safe manner.

On the other hand, Fox doesn't believe it is wise for the league to hold a game this season. The NBA has already had plenty of COVID-19 issues this season that's led to games being postponed and an All-Star game could have risks involved.

While De'Aaron Fox doesn't think it's the best idea to have an All-Star contest, he understands the league revolves around making money.

At the same time, Fox was asked if he would partake in the NBA All-Star Game if he was voted in this season, to which he gave an interesting answer.

Through his first 21 games this season, De'Aaron Fox is recording a career-best 22.3 points per game, along with 3.3 rebounds, 6.6 assists, and 1.3 steals per game for the Kings. The former fifth-overall pick is putting together a season that could see him make his first All-Star appearance.

It seems inevitable that there will be an NBA All-Star Game this season, likely as a way for them to offset some of the financial losses caused primarily by the COVID-19 pandemic.

In any case, it's safe to say that De'Aaron Fox isn't a fan of having an All-Star weekend this year.
