Sacramento Kings second-year big man Marvin Bagley III says he's “super excited” to get the 2019-20 season started.

Bagley is currently in Las Vegas with Team USA. He's on the Select Team, playing against some of the best basketball players in the world every day. The lefty is only going to become a more polished player after this experience.

The Kings, who haven't made the playoffs since 2006, have a bright future with Bagley, De'Aaron Fox, Buddy Hield and Harrison Barnes leading the charge, so it's easy to see why Bagley is excited about the upcoming season.

“I can’t even tell you all the stuff I’ve been working on,” Bagley told Jason Jones of The Athletic. “A lot of exciting, fun stuff, I’ve been in the gym doing. Out there with Rico, going to open runs and tightening up stuff that I already had. And I’m excited, I’m super excited to get this thing rolling and to get this thing started. So it’s definitely going to be an exciting year.”

Last season, Marvin Bagley III averaged 14.9 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 62 games while shooting 50.4 percent from the field, 31.3 percent from beyond the arc and 69.1 percent from the free-throw line. The No. 2 overall pick of last year's draft lived up to that billing by making the All-Rookie First Team.

It's going to be very tough for the Kings to make the postseason in 2019-20 since the Western Conference is stacked from top to bottom. The main thing Sacramento's front office wants to see is continued growth from Fox and Bagley, its two young cornerstones.
