The Sacramento Kings have agreed to sign big man Richaun Holmes to a two-year, $10 million contract, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Holmes spent the 2018-19 campaign with the Phoenix Suns, playing in 70 games and averaging 8.2 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.1 blocks over 16.9 minutes per game while shooting 60.8 percent from the floor and 73.1 percent from the free-throw line.

The 25-year-old, who played his collegiate basketball at Bowling Green State, was originally selected by the Philadelphia 76ers in the second round (37th pick overall) of the 2015 NBA Draft.

He appeared in 51 contests during his rookie year, registering 5.6 points and 2.6 boards across 13.8 minutes a night while making 51.4 percent of his field-goal attempts and 68.9 percent of his foul shots.

Then, the following season, Holmes participated in 57 games and made 17 starts, recording 9.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and one block through 20.9 minutes per game while connecting on 55.8 percent of his shots and 69.9 percent of his free throws.

He would go on to spend one more year with the 76ers in 2017-18 but saw limited action, playing in 48 games and posting 6.5 points and 4.4 boards over 15.5 minutes a night, shooting 56 percent from the field and 66.1 percent from the charity stripe.

Holmes is the second big man the Kings have agreed to sign during the free agency period, as they landed Dewayne Dedmon on a three-year deal on Sunday. They also rescinded their qualifying offer to fellow center Willie Cauley-Stein, so Sacramento's frontcourt will look quite a bit different heading into the 2019-20 season.

The Kings won 39 games this past year and were a surprise playoff contender in the Western Conference for much of the season.
