The Sacramento Kings are not happy with a recent article redrafting the 2017 class and downgrading their very own De'Aaron Fox, albeit slightly.

Clearly, the Kings–or the people running their social media–found it disrespectful that Bleacher Report put Fox as the sixth pick behind the likes of John Collins (5th) and Lonzo Ball (6th). For what it's worth, the speedy Sacramento guard was drafted fifth overall in 2017.

While it's hard to argue with the Top 3 picks in BR's latest redraft, especially since Jayson Tatum, Donovan Mitchell and Bam Adebayo have all been All-Stars, De'Aaron Fox can certainly still make a case as a Top 5 pick. After all, the Kings youngster has improved in every season he has been in the league, putting up a career-high 25.2 points on top of 3.5 rebounds, 7.2 assists and 1.5 steals in 2020-21.

Lonzo Ball has found success since being traded to the New Orleans Pelicans, a rise that saw him land a massive four-year, $85 million deal with the Chicago Bulls in the recent free agency. Meanwhile, the same goes for John Collins, who was sensational for the Atlanta Hawks in their East Finals runs during the 2021 playoffs.

Nonetheless, win-loss record aside, Fox has certainly been effective for the Kings and definitely deserves a Top 5 inclusion. Going one place down isn't really a huge disrespect, but the Kings are not taking it that way it seems.

Then again, Fox and the Kings just have to show everyone what they can do when the new campaign starts. After all, in Bleacher Report's 2020 redraft of the 2017 class, they had Fox at fourth.
