Despite a surprisingly good start to their season, the Sacramento Kings organization suddenly found themselves in the hot seat again when a report came out suggesting there was disconnect between the front office and head coach Dave Joerger.

While Sam Amick of The Athletic reports that Joerger is safe for now, another juicy tidbit suggests the coach has been worried about his job, with a belief that Kings assistant general manager Brandon Williams wants a new man at the helm.

According to sources, Joerger has believed since last season that Kings assistant general manager Brandon Williams was on the lookout for a new coach to replace him. Yet Joerger, sources say, is not in danger of being fired anytime soon. Divac, the beloved former King whose hiring in March 2015 was supposed to stabilize this wayward ship, offered his support on Saturday in response to the story.

With a young array of talent and skill on their roster this season, Joerger has successfully instilled a winning culture on his young players. Even San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich, a man who rarely gives out praise, said that he is impressed with the drastic change in the Kings' culture.

The numbers say that the Kings are actually faring better than most NBA teams who have a bevy of All-Stars on their roster. They are currently third in 3-point percentage (38 percent), a very valuable factor in today's pace-and-space game. On defense, the Kings are ranked second in forcing opponent turnovers (16.2).

Their record and overall stats are clear indications that Joerger is doing an impressive job in Sacramento. Kings fans aren't happy with these circulating issues, and it's high time that the front office gets their act together.
