The Sacramento Kings quietly had an impressive 2022 offseason haul for them. Unlike the past few years, the team made quiet moves that made sense considering their roster. After years of disappointment, the team has seemingly learned from their past mistakes.

Their next potential addition to the roster would be another excellent move for them in the short and long-term. After spending time in their G-League affiliate last season, the Kings are looking to sign former Golden State Warriors point guard Quinn Cook. However, Sacramento isn't the only team gunning for the two-time NBA champion, according to The Sacramento Bee.

Prior to joining the Stockton Kings last season, Cook bounced around the world and the NBA. After being released by the Blazers prior to the 2021 season, he played for a Russian team last season before he was claimed by the G-League team. There, Cook started to catch on fire, dropping averages 23.7 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.8 assists in 11 games.

The Kings are looking for a third-string option at point guard behind De'Aaron Fox and Davion Mitchell. Cook can fill that role perfectly for them. His stints with the Warriors and Lakers prove that if played with the right players and isn't exposed too much, he can give instant offense to any team. He's lights out from deep and can play on and off the ball.

Aside from Cook, the Kings are also reportedly looking at another former NBA champion in Matthew Dellavedova. We'll see if the team continues their incredible off-season with another savvy signing to round out their roster.
