Despite the latest rumors about their intentions to trade De'Aaron Fox and Tyrese Haliburton to land other top NBA talents, the Sacramento Kings are apparently saying otherwise.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Kings have no plans to trade the two young guards and actually highlighted their desire to build around them. The team has also made it clear to Fox's camp that he won't be traded.

The Kings remain active in trade conversations, informing teams in the marketplace that they want to build around Fox and second-year guard Tyrese Haliburton, sources said. The Kings have informed Fox and his representation, agent Chris Gaston of Family First Sports, that they do not want to trade him and want to center the team around him and Haliburton.

On Wednesday, speculations heated up that the Kings are about to make a drastic roster change via trade. First, there were reports that they have included De'Aaron Fox in trade conversations with the Indiana Pacers for Domantas Sabonis.

Furthermore, a different report claimed that the team has “considered packaging” Buddy Hield, Tyrese Haliburton and Harrison Barnes along with two first-round picks to land Ben Simmons, Tobias Harris and Matisse Thybulle from the Philadelphia 76ers.

If Charania's update proves to be true, it will be interesting to see how the Kings will upgrade its roster. They still have other key pieces in Harrison Barnes and Buddy Hield that could yield significant returns, though there is no doubt that it's Fox and Haliburton that most teams are eyeing.
