The Sacramento Kings are at the center of all the action in the 2022 NBA Draft. A number of teams behind the Kings are reportedly calling in an attempt to trade up, including the Indiana Pacers, New York Knicks, San Antonio Spurs and Washington Wizards, among others, according to Bleacher Report's Jake Fischer. ESPN's Jonathan Givony also lists the Oklahoma City Thunder and Atlanta Hawks as teams interested in moving up for that pick.

These trade talks could very well come down to the wire. If there's a surprise in the top three, the trade talk could get even crazier for that fourth pick. The Kings will want a lot in order to trade that pick, with Givony mentioning veteran options such as Malcolm Brogdon, Kyle Kuzma, Jerami Grant and John Collins as possible targets, as well as Chris Duarte as a young player who could be involved. Though as of now, multiple reports, including Fischer, say talks with the Hawks about Collins haven't involved the No. 4 pick.

If that fourth pick doesn't go anywhere, Fischer says the current belief is the Kings will take Iowa product Keegan Murray over the likes of Jaden Ivey and Bennedict Mathurin, assuming the top three go as expected:

Several teams picking behind the Kings are also preparing for Sacramento to select Murray if it remains at No. 4 and the top three picks unfold with no surprises. The Pistons, sources said, have projected a strong confidence that Ivey will be available for them to choose at No. 5 if the Kings stand pat.

There have been rumors that Ivey doesn't want to go to Sacramento, and his Monday comments about the Kings didn't seem too inspired. There could also be some concern about taking another guard with De'Aaron Fox and Davion Mitchell already there, so they could view Murray as a better fit while also bringing plenty of talent to the table.

Whatever Sacramento is thinking about this pick, it's clear they will be a team to watch in the coming days.
