Top rookie Marvin Bagley III of the Sacramento Kings spun around Boston Celtics legend Paul Pierce en route to a slam dunk during a casual light time on the court.

As posted by the Kings' Twitter account, below is a clip of Bagley manhandling Pierce:

Bagley was the second overall pick by the Kings in the 2018 NBA draft. His move against Pierce is just among the spate of maneuvers he has under his sleeve. Standing 6-foot-10, the 19-year-old forward will enter his first year with high expectations to finally lift the franchise out of the rut. He will join incoming second-year man De'Aaron Fox in a mission to make the Kings relevant again.

Yet an interview with Chris Forsberg of ESPN revealed that Bagley has put more pressure on himself than anyone else. Asked on who he feels will win rookie of the year, Bagley asked if he could pick himself. He eventually picked his teammate Harry Giles to win.

But when asked whom he feels will snag the MVP trophy, he was quick to respond and didn't hold back:

“I would say myself because that's the type of confidence I have. Not a lot of [rookies] do it, obviously, but if your dreams and goals aren't high, then you don't have nothing to work for. So I would say myself.”

The entirety of King Nation is rooting for you, rook.
