Kyrie Irving is becoming the main story of this offseason. The All-Star guard reportedly asked the Cleveland Cavaliers to trade him. This request was apparently made because Irving does not want to be a second fiddle anymore, and wants to be the focal point of a franchise.

After the original report came out, more ensued. The most interesting one was about Irving's preferred teams. Among them were the San Antonio Spurs, Minnesota Timberwolves, New York Knicks and Miami Heat. Due to all this, bookmakers around the globe started to set odds on Irving leaving.

The best odds, per BookMaker.eu, are on the Knicks. The odds are currently set on +350, or 3.5/1. Then come the Spurs with +400, the Heat with +550 and the Wolves with +700. The odds of Irving staying with the Cavs are set at +1000, and the odds of him leaving to a team not mentioned here are at +200.

In addition to that, the same page published that the odds of Cavs winning 2018 NBA title will fall to +700 should Irving leave. Right now, they are at +400.

Irving's request came at a bad time for the Cavaliers. Their summer was plagued with front office turmoil, reports of LeBron James leaving in 2018, and an inactive free agency. The team's salary cap is fully filled up, and massive improvements could not have been made.
