New York Knicks forward Bobby Portis got a first look at his NBA 2K20 rating, and it's safe to say he is not satisfied with it.

On Twitter, Portis vowed to get his ratings up after just getting 78. He did appreciate seeing his avatar in the latest installment of the popular video game though.

For the last several years, NBA players have patiently waited for their 2k rating to come out. They have used it as some sort of benchmark for their performance in the previous year. As such, they can get defensive when they didn't get the rating they feel they deserve. But true to the spirit of a real competitor, they use it as motivation to get better.

Some fans have replied to Portis' tweet, saying that he should've gotten at least an 80. After all, the 24-year-old power forward put up decent numbers last year. In 50 games — 22 for the Chicago Bulls and 28 for the Washington Wizards — Portis averaged 14.2 points, 8.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists. He also shot 44.4 percent from the field and 39.3 percent from deep.

He put up such great numbers amid the injuries he suffered all season long. To recall, Portis suffered moderate MCL sprain in his right knee which sidelined him for nearly seven weeks. He also sprained his right ankle which forced him to sit out for three to four weeks.

Now that he's back and healthy with a new team, fans should expect Portis' 2k rating to safely reach the 80s.
