New York Knicks rookie Immanuel Quickley is making the most of his offseason, thanks to Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant.

Quickley has been selected as part of the select team that trains alongside Team USA in preparation for the Olympics. While at training camp, the Knicks youngster apparently had the chance to talk to KD and reach an agreement to work out alongside each other throughout the duration of the training camp.

Now that is certainly good news for Immanuel Quickley and Knicks fans.

While some of the New York faithful will probably not like the idea of the 22-year-old training with the best player of their city rivals, there is no doubt it will only benefit Quickley. After all, noot everyone is given the chance to play and train with one of the best scorers the NBA has ever seen.

Training with a great talent like Kevin Durant should only increase the level of play of Quickley, something that the Knicks really need as they try to find their point guard of the future.

Quickley has impressed in his first season in the NBA with the Knicks, averaging 11.4 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 19.4 minutes per game. With his production in his freshman year,, he was named to the NBA All-Rookie second team.

However, with the Knicks being rumored to be shopping for a point guard, it is pretty clear the Knicks are not yet sold on Quickley. Considering that, it is definitely best for the youngster too  continue working on his game around some superstar talent to accelerate his development.
