The New York Knicks found another way to let themselves down Wednesday night in a 111-106 home loss to the Brooklyn Nets. The Knicks were up by as many as 28 points in the second quarter, but squandered it all, as they just couldn't stop the Nets in the second half, while also sputtering on offense. In losses like this, it's always the head coach who gets blamed, and if that's the case here with regards to Tom Thibodeau, then he must be starting to feel his seat getting warmer, especially since that wasn't the first time this month in which the Knicks wasted a gigantic lead.

The Nets storm back to beat the Knicks 111-106.

Knicks led by 28 points with 6:44 to go in the 2nd quarter.

It's the 3rd time this month the Knicks have lost after leading by 20 or more. They are the 1st team to blow 3 20-point leads in the same month in the last 25 seasons.

What made the loss to the Nets even more bitter to the taste of Knicks fans was that it was a rookie coming off the bench that doomed Brooklyn. Cam Thomas fired 16 of his 21 points in the fourth quarter where the Nets outscored the Knicks by 19 points.

With the loss, the New York is now just 25-34, which isn't even good enough for the team to be in the play-in tournament picture.
