The Los Angeles Lakers are going to need to get used to playing without D'Angelo Russell.

The Lakers point guard is expected to miss at least eight more games, according to the most recent reports.

Russell has been sitting out the last few games with a sore left knee. He received platelet-rich plasma injections and will be re-evaluated in a few weeks.

The Lakers lost their last two games — both against the Warriors — and play the Hawks for their next game on Sunday. They got off to a hot start on the year but have since cooled down. Being without Russell won't help but it will provide some opportunity for others to step up, including No. 2 overall pick Brandon Ingram, who has been handling the ball more in Russell's absence.
