Los Angeles Lakers guard and fan favorite Alex Caruso came up big for his team down the stretch on Tuesday versus the Charlotte Hornets.
Caruso made one important play after another including a three-pointer that helped the Lakers seal a game. The best part? How the Bald Eagle celebrated right after the huge play.

Carusoâs not the typical player who fills up the stat sheet to make an impact. The one time champion does the dirty work by diving for the loose ball, putting the clamps on defense, and making the right choices on offense. However in Tuesdayâs game, Caruso was a plus-21 and did his damage by scoring, defending and of course, hitting the dagger three.Â
Article Continues BelowVogel was quite pleased to see Caruso hit the game-sealing shot: âHe does so much dirty work for us, itâs ridiculous ⊠everybodyâs happy for him ⊠but the biggest play of the game was the containment play on Graham (resulted in missed 3).â
Called Caruso the player of the game.

Moreover, another advantage Caruso has given to the superstar-less lakers is his three point shooting. Heâs shooting at least 42 percent from three which the Lakers (a team that struggles from three) could really use. Caruso is no stranger when it comes to knocking down big shots during big moments so this is a good sign for the Lakers moving forward.Â
The Lakers end their tough seven game road trip with the record of 4-3. Thatâs not bad at all considering how much injuries have hurt the defending champions. Theyâve maintained a reputable top five defense in the league and continue to get production from role players like Caruso, Markieff Morris, Dennis Schroder, Kyle Kuzma and Andre Drummond to name a few.Â
Caruso and his team look to get as many wins as they can before Anthony Davis and LeBron James get back. Theyâll be facing rivals Boston Celtics on Thursday at Staples Center where theyâll see fans for the first time this season.Â
